Welcome at Juancho's Tumbao!

I love Latin music and Afro Cuban percussion. Since a few years I own a set of bright red Congas and lately I have been following percussion lessons together with my friends Juanes, Ricardo and Don Pedro. This weblog is about our percussion adventures.

Percussion is a great way to empty your mind and escape the chores of daily life. The rhythm and the sound of the drums reach deep inside your soul. After each percussion session with our teachers Nildo and Iván I feel rejuvenated.

What we do is a basic Afro Cuban tumbao, with numerous variations. The instruments we play at our percussion lessons are:

- Claves
- Maracas
- Guiro
- Congas

On top of that, Nildo and Iván throw in the Campana and Timbales.
